ABOUT NANCY WASHINGTON VAUGHN
Nancy Washington Vaughn, J.D, PHR, SHRM-CP is the Director of Charitable Strategies at the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville (CFGH). As Director of Charitable Strategies, I collaborate with CFGH Donors, Board members, Committee members, and Professional advisors to inspire, simplify, and amplify generosity through events and programs offered by the CFGH. I nurture relationships with prospective and current donors to deepen investment in our dynamic community. I am a nonprofit professional; attorney; certified human resources professional; and a certified diversity, equity, & inclusion in the workplace professional. I am graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School and have been admitted to the Alabama, District of Columbia, Georgia, and Tennessee Bar Associations. I earned my Bachelor of Science degrees in Communication Arts and Political Science with a minor degree in African American Studies (summa cum laude) from Austin Peay State University. I hold the HR Certification Institute designation of a Professional in Human Resources (PHR); the Society for Human Resource Management designation of a Certified Professional (SHRM-CP); and a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from the University of South Florida College of Business. I am a lifelong civic volunteer and passionate about personal community service as well as donating funds in support of nonprofit and educational organizations.
