About Nancy Price
Information management professional who is passionate about data.After 15+ years in a Digital Asset Management role, I have moved on to assist in the management of data to propel the the digital imaging photography workflow at Lands End. My success in data management is due to a strong foundation in information organization gained from a Master’s Degree in the Library Sciences (MLIS) and work as an Academic Library cataloger. Library records are developed in adherence to international standards so they can be shared across multiple systems and platforms. Understanding and working with these standards instilled in me the value of consistency that comes with a well documented metadata schema, application profile and system processes.Over my Digital Asset Management career, I have developed metadata taxonomies for asset description and discovery as well as a tool to manage creative workflows and for asset retention and archiving. I have created file naming taxonomies, application profiles, documented system processes and provided end-user training and issue resolution. My experience also extends to work in the development of Enterprise DAM systems and user acceptance testing.Did I mention I love data? As a consummate learner I received a Certificate in Metadata for Digital Collections from UW Milwaukee.The course gave me greater understanding of how DAM Systems can use data standards to capture data from other sources for increased efficiency. I have also taken coursework in Big Data, Data Analytics, XML, as well as Web and UX Design.I am now quite confident I have the tools to manage data in a creative workflow environment and I am thankful to have an opportunity to apply my skills for a such premiere Brand as Lands\' End.
