Provide intraoperative neuromonitoring at the request of the Surgeon to reduce the incidence of stroke, paresthesia, impotence, incontinence, and paralysis as a post-operative surgical outcome• Perform preoperative assessment of patient including review of MRIs and clinical history to determine appropriateness of the monitoring and modalities selected, including complex craniotomy or complex spine • Consults with Anesthesia regarding required regimen for successful recording of neurophysiological signals during the case• Conduct intraoperative sensory and motor tests using currently accepted electrophysiological techniques including but not limited to, evoked potentials (including brainstem auditory EP and D wave EP), electromyography (including cranial nerve, peripheral nerve), motor mapping technique for craniotomy, electroencephalography and nerve conduction and troubleshooting when appropriate to obtain optimal data collection • Interact with the surgical team to provide interpretive data regarding the patient’s neurological status• Assist Clinical Manager with orienting new team members to the Tampa Market, to new Surgeons and OR teams, training and oversight for Colleagues learning additional/new modalities• Assist Clinical Manager in establishing new accounts and initiating service with new Hospitals/Surgeons by acting as point person for the Tampa team • Accurately compile real-time collection of data, intraoperative reports, post-operative reports and appropriate billing forms
