With over 30 years of litigation experience my knowledge is broad from the filing of the complaint to the judgment after trial. This is what I do:• Implement systems to manage and track a heavy caseload• E-file in multiple jurisdictions• Conduct research of court rules and procedures in those relevant jurisdictions• Review docketing reports for accuracy and to ensure all deadlines are correct• Prepare shells of pleadings to ensure the format is proper and rules are followed• Monitor the calendars for upcoming deadlines and proactively handle what is needed in advance, or, at a minimum, alert for awareness• Organize files, matters, tasks, documents, and sometimes people• Assist with trial including the preparation (and filing) of pleadings, preparation of various binders, research of department rules and procedures, handle the logistics of travel, meals, and the transport of files• Proactively anticipate the needs of those I support and carryout• Problem solve – not everything is perfect in litigation• Nurture relationships – I’m part of a team and I appreciate and respect the hard work of all involved to make what we do successful – it takes a village• Handle anything administrative from CLE tracking to travel
