ABOUT NANCY G. ABNEY

Experienced writer and editor with 25 years in Higher Education as an instructor and coach of professional communication skills for graduate students, postdocs and faculty in traditional and online settings: academic and scientific writing/ professional speaking and presentation/ teaching and training. As Program Director II for UAB Heersink School of Medicine, I specialized in grant writing and supporting the career development and scholarly writing efforts of faculty and residents in the Department of Surgery. As Director and Senior Instructor for UAB\'s CIRTL Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning, I developed curricula, designed and taught courses on college teaching, trained Graduate Teaching Assistants, and mentored future faculty.
