ABOUT NANCY WECKEL

My passion and clinical expertise is healing wounds and preventing limb loss. As a certified wound care nurse (CWCN), I am dedicated to improving wound care outcomes and have applied my clinical expertise in a variety of healthcare settings. While at Mölnlycke Health Care, a global leader in advanced wound care solutions, I supported their sales and clinical activities, delivered product-and wound specific educational programs, and developed professional relationships with key stakeholders.I have a proven track record of performance improvement, cost containment, team transformation, and staff engagement through mentoring and education. As the wound and ostomy manager at Stanford Health Care, hospital-acquired pressure injuries were significantly reduced, evidence-based wound treatment practices were implemented and a broad array of wound and skin care education provided to the patients and healthcare team.Working alongside the Stanford Child Psychiatry team, I had the privilege to co-found a groundbreaking camp program for youth with bipolar disorder, along with establishing a nonprofit to support the camp to provide the experience at no cost to the campers families, demonstrating my commitment to social impact and innovation. My goal is to continue to support the advancement of wound care, including pressure injury prevention and limb salvage, by consistently applying my clinical expertise, leadership skills, and ethical values.
