ABOUT NANCY WANG
Nancy is a University of Alberta graduate from the BComm Cooperative Education program with a human resources major and a marketing minor. With over 5 years of human resources work experience and currently as an HR Business Partner at Tetra Tech Canada, Nancy is familiar with providing excellent service to managers by consulting and working together to find the best solutions for their concerns. Nancy is familiar with the grievance process, interpreting policy and collective agreements, fact-finding, generating reports, etc. Having had many years of experience in talent acquisition as well, Nancy has direct experience with the full cycle recruitment process from developing competency profiles and drafting job postings, to interviewing and extending the offer to the successful candidate. Nancy is incredibly passionate about people and the relationships fostered through both her HR pursuits in the office and outside in her personal life. Having been on the University of Alberta Marketing Association (UAMA) for two years, a Victoria\'s Secret PINK campus team member, as well as her experience working in the hospitality industry, Nancy has been exposed to various marketing initiatives that include planning various social/networking events as well as developing and promoting brand exposure and engagement activities. In her previous role as the Vice President of Public Relations for The Network of Empowered Women (NEW) Conference, Nancy oversaw all things social media, developed promotional content, recruited delegates, and generated student outreach strategies on a national scale. She hopes to continue to mold her HR career through her education and work pursuits and is always looking for the next challenge.
