About Nancy Seideman

I have formally launched my own consulting Seideman Communications Strategist enhance the reputation of organizations through the development and implementation of communications activities, with a focus on issues management, crisis communications, internal organization/leadership cultivation, media relations and storytelling. I am a founding member of P World\'s Crisis Communications Club which offers tailor-made, in-house crisis communications training and workshops to explore creative solutions to issues and reputation management challenges.In my most recent role as Vice President, Academic Communications and Reputation Leadership at Emory University, I advanced faculty and executive thought leadership initiatives and developed and led a robust reputation and issues management program. I guided multiple enterprise-wide strategic communications activities to help the university navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2014, I co-directed communications strategy and messaging related to Emory\'s successful care of patients with Ebola virus disease, the first to be treated in the United States. During my long-term career at the university, I achieved national and international story placement that advanced strategic priorities and messaging in both traditional and digital media. I am known for––and take great pride in––my role as a trusted communications consultant for my clients, and for my skill at consensus building and cultivation of relationships within complex organizations. Throughout my career my focus has never wavered: My mission is to help my clients achieve their objectives by providing thoughtful counsel and by implementing a comprehensive communications strategy that delivers desired results.
