Updated Sustainable Events Guide to communicate best practices in Sustainability.Provide strategic updates to OCC\'s Waste Diversion Policy in collaboration with Sales and Event Teams.Achieved LEED Platinum recertification in 2023, SalmonSafe recertification in 2023, and Event Industry Council Sustainable Event Standards Platinum certification in 2024.Raised overall diversion rate from 55% in March 2023 to 68% in 2025 through waste prevention initiatives and sustainability training and programming.Track data and prepare regular reports on sustainability for events, external audiences, and internal audiences.Coordinate on site recycling, composting, donations, and other waste reduction practices.Lead back of house sustainability tours for clients, events, and internal Metro staff.Launched one of the first event floor reusable container pilots to increase durable dishware at our venue, expanded program in 2025 to include cups as well as reusable trays.
