I am an accounting and finance executive with solid experience building, restructuring, and fine-tuning organizations and teams—providing the kind of leadership that inspires people while adding tremendous value to the company.I’m always exploring opportunities to make a business better. In addition to advising the board and executive committees on strategic issues and transactions, overseeing technical accounting functions, and executing complex special projects (such as adoption of industry-changing revenue recognition and leasing accounting standards), I seek out ways to constructively challenge the status quo. Over the years, I’ve brought my high-energy, high-integrity leadership approach to both public and private companies. In my current position with Reynolds Group Holdings Ltd, and in past roles with Whirlpool Corporation (NYSE: WHR) and Workiva (NYSE; WK), I’ve been recognized for developing trusting partnerships, turning hard-working individuals and teams into stellar performers, and aligning financial decisions with corporate vision and global regulatory requirements.Whether I am operationalizing a billion-dollar cost reduction strategy or evaluating the upstream and downstream impacts of acquisitions and divestures, I always take the time to understand the underlying concepts. I explore situations with the big picture in mind, and leverage financial expertise, acuity, and accountability in making well-informed decisions. At the same time, I manage the particulars of technical accounting with sound judgment and meticulous attention to detail.I genuinely love this work and care about our accounting community in the Chicago area. I participate in panel discussions and contribute to articles on the latest industry trends. I also founded a peer group for executives from multinational companies—we discuss the challenges and opportunities as accounting professionals.
