ABOUT NANCY EKE-AGU AIGP

I am a passionate AI Governance Leader, Ethics Advocate, and AI Transformation Expert, with almost two decades of experience in tech projects and risk management, and presently helping organizations develop ethical, transparent, and accountable AI systems. With a strong background in AI policy, AI Risk management, Operational Efficiency, and Technology Projects/Programs Leadership, I have worked with international organizations to design frameworks that ensure AI technologies align with societal values and regulatory standards. As a CAIDP AI Policy Research Fellow, I research and advocate for the safe deployment of AI while actively engaging in AI governance and risk mitigation. I am committed to shaping AI technologies that are not only compliant but also ethical, responsible, and beneficial to society. I specialize in AI risk assessment, regulatory compliance, contract negotiations, and driving operational efficiency. My work focuses on building AI systems that protect data integrity, maximize business value, and minimize potential risks to users and society. Additionally, I am the City Lead for Women in AI (WAI) in Halifax, where I advocate for gender equality and inclusion in AI, as well as a member of ForbesBLK. I bring a multidisciplinary approach, combining AI ethics, governance, and technical assurance to provide tailored solutions that help organizations implement safe, scalable, and transparent AI technologies. I am also passionate about AI education and capacity building, focusing on democratizing AI knowledge, developing training programs, and building a diverse AI talent pool. My expertise extends to managing AI-related projects, advising on policy development, and advocating for AI safety to reduce catastrophic risks. I am eager to leverage my expertise to help organizational programs and implement effective AI governance practices.
