   Nancy Marie Bearce pledges to bring fresh, competent and proactive leadership to the office of the Bernalillo County Treasurer. This approach, coupled with her longtime neighborhood and community involvement, cemented her victory in the fall 2016 general election by a resounding margin.Treasurer Bearce has ably served the people of New Mexico as a benefits manager and nonprofit executive since including overseeing two of the largest employee health insurance programs in our state at both Albuquerque Public Schools and the State of New Mexico’s General Services Department.And, like President Obama, one of her true passions is in community organizing. She’s served as chair of the Albuquerque Neighborhood Task Force, founder of the La Mesa Community Land Trust and as a conceptual architect for Albuquerque’s International District.Nancy and her husband Charlie Bennett have been married for more than 23 years. Both are involved in state and local Democratic Party issues, from local barbecues to national conventions. As treasurer, Ms. Bearce pledges to work closely with the Bernalillo County Commission, taxpayers and county employees to restore public confidence and advance financial literacy for all in our community.
