About Nancy Said Ali

I hold a Ph.D. in Communications Media from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where my research examined media use during crises, health communication, and how digital platforms shape public perceptions and responses in times of uncertainty. My work bridges journalism, digital media, and strategic communication, with a focus on how media influences public understanding, decision-making, and risk perception.Over the past decade, I’ve led media projects with global networks including the BBC, Al Jazeera, beIN SPORTS, and Alhurra, and directed communication strategies for multinational healthcare firms such as Novartis, Sanofi-Aventis and GSK. This mix of academic and professional experience gives me a global lens and a deep understanding of how audiences engage with information.As an adjunct professor at Northern Virginia Community College, I’ve taught courses in communication and intercultural communication, preparing students with the skills to succeed in today’s diverse and interconnected world. I also hold an M.A. in Television and Digital Journalism from the American University in Cairo, blending academic rigor with hands-on media expertise.
