ABOUT NANCY A. DREYER

Experienced with most types of real-world data (claims, electronic medical records, person-generated health data and data linkage), Dreyer is recognized internationally for her expertise. She has influenced the content of guidelines by medical product regulators in the US (FDA), Europe (EMA), and China (NMPA) and has a strong track record of successful research and collaboration. Examples of challenging projects include developing agile injury analytics for the NFL and NBA to promote player health; creating a 13-country patient registry for avian influenza that was used to identify a repurposed drug that enhanced the chance of survival, and learning about early presentation and diagnosis of COVID-19 at the start of the pandemic and extending that work to study vaccine safety and effectiveness. She also worked with the European Medicines Agency (doi:10.2196/publichealth.4939) to test the validity and utility of patient-generated health data for regulatory decisions and now maintains an active consulting practice. She is active in DIA\'s Scientific and Policy Advisory Council and Global Annual Meeting Planning. She also is an invited member of ISPOR\'s RWD Steering Committee and is Trustee at Brandeis University.
