ABOUT NAN CRAWFORD

I’m a child of the 60s. Born in a little town called Dallas. I came into this world with lots of chutzpah for a Methodist kid. At age 8 I recall cheering Billie Jean King as she beat Bobby Riggs in The Battle of the Sexes. I’m forever grateful that at our family’s formica dinner table, dining on day-glo Kraft mac & cheese, my father echoed Martin Luther King, Jr.’s call to judge people by the content of their character. I learned to hold leaders to a higher standard acting in high school theatre productions of The Crucible, Antigone, & The Imaginary Invalid. Thus I grew up, aware of the injustices intertwined in the fabric of our nation, & the compelling call to create connection & understanding in every corner of our world. Around the world, most of us spend most of our lives at work. We spend most of our waking hours — at work. So if I wanted to change the world, helping build workplaces of trust, respect, & connection, felt like a long lever to grab onto. 30+ years ago, I founded Nan Crawford & Co. — a leadership & innovation consultancy to transform how business leaders think, communicate, & cultivate connection in their organizations.Through Speaking, Training, Coaching, & Executive Retreats, we help C-Suite leaders imagine a future that works for all. We guide clients to make their vision a reality, by building skills of collaboration & resilience.Our unique approach blends cutting-edge, creative leadership development with theatre-based insights to help clients connect with their audience. For 3 decades we have helped visionary executives build connection & drive innovation across their organizations.
