About Namrata Sen
Namrata has more than 14 years experience in conducting data-driven policy analyses to study a broad range of health care issues, including Medicare and Medicaid payment policy, quality improvement, reimbursement for safety net providers, health care workforce studies, and costs and benefits of medical interventions. She managed projects and tasks for a number of federal clients and provider associations including: the Heath Resources and Services Administration; Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation; the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and the American Hospital Association. Several of these studies were presented at forums, such as Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Office of Management and Budget, Medicare Payment Advisory Commission, research conferences, such as AcademyHealth and AAMC, and senior leadership of provider associations and their governing boards.Her functional areas of expertise include project direction and management, program monitoring and evaluation, research study design, data analytics and financial management. Her mixed methods research includes the integration of both quantitative and qualitative methodologies for the development of study designs and instruments, data collection and analysis, and findings dissemination. Ms. Sen also has content knowledge expertise in the areas of clinical quality improvement and Medicare and Medicaid payment policy analysis. Currently, she is leading a project on data quality improvement for provider screening as it relates to fraud detection for Center for Program Integrity, CMS.
