Manage the extender category contributing 45% of total volume in the RM category at Asian Paints.Oversee raw materials including carbonates, sands, marble, and talc grades across 28 plants (including Asian Paints plants and OPCs).Manage the procurement (operations and servicing) of 105 unique raw materials, ensuring supply continuity.Coordinate daily with key stakeholders to streamline raw material purchases based on demand, consumption patterns, and safety stock levels.Provide RM coverage updates to the central planning team and plant teams to ensure informed decisions.Provide AIG (alternate item group) inputs to costing team for cost optimization.Prepare and issue monthly scheduled purchase orders (POs) for vendors, factoring in vendor shares, L1, L2, and L23 prices, and addressing any supplier-specific issues with justified reasoning & vendor delivery performance.Ensure commitments from vendors on on-time deliveries once POs are raised or any deviations to the supplies to be escalated.Maintain on-time Price Change (PIR) and Purchase related planning master data.Servicing the consumption plans and also ensuring maintaining exact pre-determined inventory levels. Review plan coverages regularly and escalate issues pro-actively.Manage quality rejection handling and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) closures in SAP system.Updating of shipping details, NN Details, Originals Documents, etc in Break-walls systems on a timely basis.Maintain system hygiene by updating the correct master data like vendor master, import system like Break-walls, valid open POs in the system.Work closely with Imports team for timely clearance of materials.Coordinate with suppliers, shared services (SSC), taxation, and finance teams to resolve payment, waybill, and detention-related issues, ensuring prompt responses to stakeholder queries.
