Namouta is passionate about creating thriving and resilient communities. As the General Manager of Strategy and Science at Toi Moana the Bay of Plenty Regional Council, she has a key leadership role across natural resource policy and planning, spatial and urban planning, Science, strategy, and regional economic development. With over 20 years’ experience in the public and private sector, the Univeristy of Auckland and in the Pacific, Namouta has a strong background in policy and strategy development. She is part of teams receiving awards for supporting iwi in strategy development, natural hazard policy development and climate change adaptation work.Namouta is a founding member of Papa Pounamu and the Taeao Moana Pasefika Aotearoa Pasefika Environmental Practioners, former PICTT Chair and Envirohub Board member.
