Motivated and flexible healthcare IT specialist. My philosophy is to think about how projects can get to \'YES\', and that \'no, we can\'t\' is almost never the right answer. I\'m an expert in the successful use, adoption, and optimization of EHRs. I am also well versed in meaningful use measures and quality measures such as HEDIS and leveraging IT infrastructure in meeting those measures. My interest is not strictly in IT; it\'s in integrating IT and workflows systematically, to improve health outcomes across communities. I currently work with Epic Resolute Professional Billing and Claims, and have worked extensively with eClinicalWorks, Athena Collector, Meditech, and Lytec. I have also implemented interfaces between all these systems, and others. I have familiarity with AllScripts, and McKesson Revenue Cycle Management. I have also worked with numerous smaller EHR and PM systems. I have the benefit of 20 years of background in medical billing, and nearly a decade of medical practice management experience.

   I work on the Epic Resolute Hospital Billing (HB) app team. My project responsibility highlights include-Transplant Billing workflows and setup for Solid Organ and Bone Marrow-Vendor delimited files handling, workflows, and batch process setup across IT environments and systems-Rev Guardian Checks implementation-SmartText letters and forms template setup, and associated SmartLinks and SmartLists for intuitive workflows and management in Epic; incorporating organizational branding & style coordination. Hot Topic Projects currently ongoing-Adapting Follow-Up workflows to track large scale Managed Care Payer issues and Clinical Denials & Appeals across areas of responsibility-Allowing for integrated reporting of these issues w/ tracking at the account and dollar level, w/ higher level summations w/ visual representation-Increasing accountability and transparency as part of moving from databases and tracking outside of Epic, to using Epic as the source, w/ actionable reporting available for the needs of line level staff to executives-Integrated Managed Care Payer Issue tracking has shown potential to save 250 staff hours a year, just within hospital billing operational divisions.
