ABOUT NAMEERA AHMED

I currently work as part of the Strategy & Expansion Consulting team at Zomato, where I help growing restaurants make smarter, data-backed decisions on where to scale next. My work sits at the intersection of consumer behavior, location intelligence, and understanding brand positioning. I analyze demand patterns, decode audience preferences, and identify high-potential catchments that set brands up for sustainable success.Prior to Zomato, I worked at Invest India, the Government of India’s National Investment Promotion Agency, where I focused on facilitating Japanese investments into India across sectors like, F&B, retail, semiconductors, healthcare. I was also part of the Prime Minister’s flagship initiative, One District One Product (ODOP), where I contributed to enabling global market access for India’s regional artisans, helping showcase indigenous craftsmanship on an international stage and drive meaningful economic upliftment in rural communities.I’m deeply interested in how data, strategy, and local insights come together to unlock growth- whether that’s for businesses expanding into new markets or communities finding new opportunities to thrive. Along the way, this journey has given me a unique lens into how India builds- both from the ground up and from the outside in- where every market, conversation, and insight adds a new layer to understanding businesses, policy, and people.
