Design, develop, and operate system software, diagnostics, and automation for HPE Cray exascale-class supercomputers powered by the Slingshot high-speed interconnect.• Build, deploy, and maintain HPE Cray supercomputers, including compute nodes, service nodes, Slingshot and InfiniBand fabrics, storage systems, and management-plane services. • Provision compute node images using HPC cluster management frameworks (drivers, kernel modules, packages, OS configs). • Troubleshoot multi-layer issues: networking (RDMA, congestion, routing), OS/kernel, drivers, firmware, performance regressions, cabling, cluster faults. • Lead engineer for HPC Fabric Bring‑Up Tool; built automation framework to return systems to golden state. • Develop Python/Bash tooling for diagnostics, cable verification, firmware consistency, node provisioning, and performance telemetry. • Support exascale customers, including the biggest names, respond to incidents, root-cause failures, and coordinate with hardware/software teams. • Implement monitoring and observability improvements: fabric counters, node metrics, fault detection, anomaly detection, and telemetry pipelines. • Built internal AI tools to accelerate log analysis, system debugging, and network/OS issue classification.
