   Enterprise Cloud Migration Journey Proud to share a major milestone in my role as a Cloud Migration Consultant, leading a complex and large-scale migration project for Close Brothers Bank. Project Scope:The initiative involved migrating a wide portfolio of enterprise applications—both production and non-production—from traditional on-premises infrastructure to modern cloud environments using Microsoft Azure and Nutanix technologies. Migration Strategy:We adopted a hybrid migration approach: Lift & Shift for quick wins where re-architecture wasn’t required Rebuild in Azure for critical applications needing scalability and resilience Nutanix Move for seamless workload migration from legacy Cisco infrastructure to Nutanix clusters hosted in Azure Why Nutanix?Some applications were originally hosted on Cisco platforms nearing end-of-life. These were transitioned to a Nutanix hyperconverged environment, delivering better performance, simplified operations, and native integration with Azure. Tools & Technologies Used: Azure Migrate Nutanix Move Azure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Application discovery & dependency mapping Enterprise tools like JIRA & Confluence for planning and tracking Outcome:This migration not only ensured business continuity and improved agility, but also set the foundation for future cloud-native modernization efforts. Downtime was minimized, security standards were maintained, and cost optimization was achieved. Driving End-to-End Cloud Deployments & Release Automation in AWS & Azure Environments As a DevOps and Cloud Release professional, I’ve had the opportunity to streamline software delivery pipelines, ensure rapid and reliable deployments, and enable cross-functional collaboration across globally distributed teams.
