About Nalin Aggarwal

I recently graduated from Boston University with a B.A. in Chemistry with Honors, concentrating in Chemical Biology and minoring in Philosophy. My academic and research journey has focused on drug development, enzyme purification, and reaction optimization—most recently designing ROS-responsive compounds to enhance the selectivity and efficacy of chemotherapy. Through my Honors Thesis, I developed expertise in techniques such as organic synthesis, NMR spectroscopy, fluorescence-based assays, and mammalian cell culture, contributing to a multidisciplinary effort in cancer-targeted therapeutics.In addition to my academic work, I currently serve as a Clinical Care Technician (CCT) at Tufts Medical Center, where I support inpatient care through direct patient monitoring, vital sign collection, and close collaboration with nursing staff. This hands-on clinical role has deepened my understanding of patient-centered care and strengthened my commitment to healthcare service.Outside of the lab and clinic, I led as President of Alpha Chi Sigma at BU, a professional co-ed chemistry fraternity, where I mentored members and coordinated academic and outreach initiatives. I also served as a Teaching Assistant in Systems Physiology, helping foster a collaborative learning environment and a deeper understanding of human biology.I am passionate about combining my scientific training with clinical experience to drive biomedical innovation and improve patient outcomes.

   Collaborating strongly with nurses and clinical staff to assess patients on North 4 (30 patient capacity) of the Adult Surgical Unit at Tufts Medical Center. Utilizing medical knowledge to record vital signs, assess level of consciousness, operate electrocardiograms (EKGs), file documentation, assist with patient ambulation and coaching, and oversee patient admissions/discharges.
