In addition to my practice at Baker Donelson, I am currently an Adjunct Professor at Mississippi College School of Law teaching Employment Law. I previously taught legal writing for two Spring Semesters: 2010 and 2011, which is when I taught first year law students persuasive legal writing skills, particularly in dispositive motion filings. I now teach second and third year law school students about various employment laws.

ABOUT NAKIMULI DAVIS-PRIMER
Nakimuli is licensed in Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee, but she advises, counsels, and advocates for clients across the nation. She partners with clients to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws; advises clients on day-to-day workplace issues including COVID-19 issues; assesses risks of anticipated workplace decisions and offers creative solutions to lessen those risks; drafts and revises company handbooks and policies; conducts internal investigations; and trains leadership and management level employees on various legal and professional development topics. Nakimuli\'s practice includes collaborating with clients on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Nakimuli works with clients on issues ranging from creating and evaluating DEI initiatives and goals to drafting social media policies and diversity statements to advising companies on communication strategies around DEI. Nakimuli creates training programs that raise awareness of, identify tools and strategies for, and reinforce best practices to create sustainable inclusive workplaces. Nakimuli represents employers in federal and state courts and administrative actions, including proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, unemployment commissions, and the Department of Labor. Nakimuli defends employers in single and multi-plaintiff litigation (including litigation filed by the EEOC) pursuant to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Section 1981, the ADA, the ADEA, Section 1983, the FMLA, Title VI, the EPA, the FLSA, wrongful termination, and other laws. In addition to her employment practice, Nakimuli has extensive experience representing companies in commercial litigation. This includes representing insurance carriers in bad faith breach of contract claims, representing insured\'s in premises liability and other negligence based cases, and representing businesses on a wide-range of issues such as personal injury claims (including claims involving motor carriers), breach of contract, fraud, and cases involving mortgage financing and lender liability.*The opinions expressed here are the personal opinions of Nakimuli Davis-Primer, but do not constitute legal advice.
