ABOUT NAJMEH MIRIAN
Dr. Najmeh Mirian is an accelerator and FEL scientist. She received her Ph.D. in October 2015 with a thesis titled \"Time Dependence Simulation of Two-Colour Two-Beam Free Electron Laser Radiation.\" From August 2015 to 2016, she worked on the generation of photons with orbital angular momentum (OAM) at UVSOR in Okazaki, Japan.From 2016 to 2019, she was principal investigator of generation and measurement of ultrashort free electron laser pulses at FERMI in Trieste, Italy. In 2019, she led the superradiant FEL project at FERMI. Subsequently, from Jen 2020 to June 2020, she worked on accelerator beam dynamics at CERN in Switzerland. she led the study of generation of high photon energy in the gamma-ray range at CERN.From 2020 to 2023, Dr. Mirian worked on EuXFEL machine at DESY in Germany, where her research included the characterization of high photon energy and the study of microbunching instability. In 2023, she took on the responsibility for longitudinal electron beam diagnostic tools at FLASH at DESY.In Feb 2024, Dr. Mirian received support from Helmholtz AI for a new project to implement machine learning methods for the characterization of X-ray free electron lasers. Since then she has been principal investigator of two artificial intelligence projects.
