ABOUT NAJEEBA GASSEL

Nonprofit professional with more than 10 years of experience advancing mission-driven organizations through strategic fundraising, relationship-building, and community engagement. I currently serve as a Campaign Development Manager for the Leukemia Ball with Blood Cancer United (formerly The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society). The Leukemia Ball is the organization’s national, signature black-tie event and has reigned for 39 years as the Washington, D.C. area’s largest non-political black-tie fundraiser.Previously, I served as Campaign Development Manager for Student Visionaries of the Year in Savannah, Georgia. I am an AmeriCorps alum and hold an Advanced Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and Management. I am also an aspiring Art Therapist with a deep passion for creativity, youth service, and philanthropy.My professional experience includes fundraising, donor research, community development, outreach, grant writing, event planning, volunteer and recruitment management, budgeting, and membership retention. I am known for my strong organizational skills, clear communication style, and ability to build meaningful, lasting relationships in support of impactful causes.
