Represent League of American Orchestras in meetings with representatives from federal agencies and other national arts, education, and nonprofit organizations on a broad portfolio of issues including federal funding for the arts, nonprofit tax policy, arts education policy and funding, domestic and international travel with musical instruments, and visa processing for foreign guest artists- Research, analyze, and report on selected legislative, regulatory, and agency-driven issues pertinent to American orchestras- Draft and send grassroots communications, including management of issue-specific online letter-writing campaigns to Congress (via VoterVoice)- Write and submit annual written testimony to Congress- Serve as liaison to and coordinate services for orchestra education and community engagement (EDCE) professionals, with responsibilities including development and production of education and community engagement content at League of American Orchestras annual conference and providing support to EDCE Leadership Committee- Create customized mapping reports for orchestras illustrating public value and community engagement- Co-manage the Artists from Abroad website, provide technical assistance about visas and tax withholding to orchestras engaging foreign guest artists, and write peer advisory letters of support for orchestra visa petitions.
