ABOUT NAJAT ALBARAKATI
I am a Materials & Polymer Scientist (Ph.D.) specializing in rheology, material behavior, polymer formulation, and product development, with over eight years of hands-on experience across research labs, industry collaborations, and multi-disciplinary R&D environments. My technical strength is my ability to solve complex material challenges using advanced characterization, especially when standard methods fall short. During my PhD, I developed the first reliable, internally consistent rheological measurements for a highly complex, non-Newtonian suspension system, an achievement that required innovative experimental design, custom setups, and deep understanding of flow behavior and viscoelasticity.Beyond my primary research, I contributed to multiple funded projects as a post doc researcher in:Polymer composites High-temperature polyimides (LM-PAEK, carbon fiber)(Toray)Bio-based polymers (PLA, PHA)Electrospinning and nanofiber formation3D printing filament development Recycling of industrial materials (MRC)Nanoadditive dispersion using ultrasonic methods (NIOSH)This diverse experience makes me highly adaptable, I learn new instruments quickly, troubleshoot experimental problems effectively, and deliver clear, actionable data that moves projects forward.Core Expertise:Rheology (steady shear, dynamic, melt behavior, viscoelasticity)Polymer characterization (DSC, TGA, DMA, FTIR, SEM, RMS-800)Polymer formulation & compoundingMaterial structure–property relationshipsProduct development & performance optimizationExperiment design (DOE), SOP, data analysis & reportingCross-functional collaboration with industry partnersWhat I Bring to R&D TeamsI am a hands-on experimental scientist with a strong ability to understand materials from fundamentals to processing. My approach focuses on:Turning complex problems into clear experimental plansGenerating high-quality data and interpreting it with scientific depthCollaborating with product, manufacturing, and quality teamsLearning new tools rapidly and working effectively in fast-paced environmentsCommunicating technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiencesCareer GoalTo leverage my background in polymers, materials science, rheology, and product development in an industry R&D role where I can innovate, solve problems, and help translate materials research into new products and technologies.Let’s ConnectI’m actively open to opportunities inR & D, Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, Technical or Product Developmentacross the United States. a••••••••@gmail.com
