About Naja Stokes

Na’ja Stokes is a FOSSI STEM Scholar and the sophomore class president at Delaware State University, where she is pursuing a bachelor\'s degree in Biological Science, Research Professions with a minor in Chemistry. She is passionate about biomedical research, health equity, and volunteering, and has participated in multiple programs and internships to advance her skills and knowledge in these areas. Currently, she is working as a Business Administration Intern at Detroit United Lacrosse, a nonprofit organization that aims to expand the sport to inner city children in Detroit, MI. She assists with marketing for the youth programs, manages and operates a work site with over 30 children, and supports the administrative tasks of the organization. She was also a student intern at HBCU First, a mentoring program that connects her with industry-leading executives and career-building workshops. She aspires to pursue her internship or work experience at a healthcare facility or hospital setting, where she can apply her problem-solving and solution-oriented skills to make a positive impact on the community.

   Preside over the entire Sophomore class to relay concerns and suggestions of the sophomore class to the Executive Student Government Association. Host and plan events to engage the class of 2026 to originations and activities occurring on campus.
