Experience
Digital Civics Academy Participant
Jul 2025 — Present · San Francisco, CA, US
In collaboration with #HalfTheStory, I participated in the Digital Civics Academy, where I engaged with over 50 changemakers from across the globe to discuss the future of ethical tech, digital wellbeing, and youth-driven advocacy. Through powerful talks and workshops, I learned from leaders such as Cherie Animashaun, who highlighted the importance of amplifying youth voices in leadership; Azza Cohen, who shared her insights on storytelling for social change; Ava Smithing, who advocated for youth-led advocacy; Zamaan Quereshi, who championed inclusive design; and Senator Gounardes, who emphasized the role of policy in creating lasting change.A standout moment was visiting Pinterest HQ, where I learned how the company prioritizes trust & safety and the teen experience, deepening my understanding of how tech can be used responsibly for mental health and digital wellbeing. This experience reinforced my passion for advocating for responsible technology and provided me with the tools to contribute to creating ethical and inclusive digital spaces.
