ABOUT NAIR MARIE BANKS
Nair was born and raised in Naperville, Illinois. She graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2019 with a major in political science and minors in French and gender & women’s studies. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Washington, DC, to work as a Fiscal Affairs Staff Assistant for the International Monetary Fund. After three years at the IMF, Nair moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue her legal education. In 2025, Nair graduated from Vanderbilt Law School, where she served as the Executive Student Writing Editor for the Transnational Law Journal and published her Note, Stop Blaming Foreigners for Your Housing Market: Why Prohibitions Against Foreign Property Ownership Won’t Solve the Global Housing Crisis. She also served as the Vice President of Law Students for Social Justice and participated in the Black Law Students Association and Phi Delta Phi. In September 2025, Nair joined Greenberg Traurig\'s Chicago office as a litigation associate.
