ABOUT NAIMAH WADE

As a Director at Degree Forward, I advance higher education innovation and career advancement opportunity by connecting leaders and learners to degree completion pathways. With a Ph.D. in Education and an MBA, I have over 15 years of experience in applying learning science, instructional design, and human-centered org development practices to solve complex problems and create transformative programs in education and business.Most recently, I was the Director of Research and Learning at Connect313, I lead the design and implementation of innovative and inclusive programs that aim to bridge the digital divide and empower underserved communities. Prior to this, I was an E-Learning Specialist and Faculty Consultant at the Office for Teaching and Learning at Wayne State University, where I coached faculty in developing and delivering high-quality online courses and workshops. I also served as the Executive Director of 826michigan, a non-profit organization that provides creative writing and tutoring services to young students. In both roles, I leveraged my skills in program administration, needs assessment, immersion learning, program evaluation, and training facilitation. I am passionate about creating high-context experiences that foster transformational learning and organizational excellence. I am also a recipient of the Marshall Memorial Fellowship and the Arts Leaders as Cultural Innovators Fellowship, which reflect my commitment to leadership development and social impact.
