ABOUT NAIMA GAINES

Naima Gaines is a Pre Med Biology major and Chemistry minor at Howard University with a passion for medicine, community health, and advancing equity for Black and Brown communities. She is dedicated to becoming a physician who centers access and advocacy in her work while uplifting the people and environments she serves.Naima is heavily involved across campus in leadership organizations, academic councils, service initiatives, and wellness programming. Through these experiences, she has developed a strong foundation in student leadership, mentorship, and community engagement. She values building supportive environments where students feel empowered to grow and reach their full potential.Her long term career goal is to enter the medical field as a physician who integrates clinical excellence with community based health solutions and research that supports historically underserved populations. She is driven by a desire to reduce health disparities, elevate community wellness, and create meaningful pathways for future generations pursuing medicine.Naima approaches every space with intention, discipline, and purpose. She is always seeking opportunities to grow as a scholar, leader, and advocate while continuing to build a life and career rooted in service.
