As the Associate Dean for Research and Innovation, my responsibilities include providing leadership for interdisciplinary collaborative research and scholarship; promoting cross-sector partnerships and community engagement for translational and interdisciplinary scholarship; developing research opportunities and initiatives for faculty, post-doctoral scholars, graduate and undergraduate students; building collaborative interdisciplinary teams; training and mentoring researchers; providing resources to advance the quality and impact of faculty scholarship. I facilitate the creation of an inclusive space for researchers to brainstorm creative ideas in advancing scholarship and impacting the community. I oversee the college research administration service team, budgets, and research programs, as well as eight research centers and institutes within the college. I collaborate and coordinate with the university research office to encourage cross-college collaborations for interdisciplinary innovative research. I work closely with UCF Foundation for philanthropic support for research and engagement.
