About Nailah Hicks
Senior Finance major who enjoys working with numbers but also thrives when leading people and projects. During my internship at NV Energy I worked on account reconciliations, system tracking, and process improvements that gave me a close view of how financial operations function inside a large company. What I enjoy most is connecting the technical side of finance with the larger business strategy, making sure the details align with long-term goals.On campus I lead the Women in Tech club as President and serve as Vice President of the Business Student Council. These roles have taken me beyond the classroom into planning events, managing budgets, and building connections between students and professionals in industries like technology and finance. I have learned how to balance strategy with logistics, keep projects moving under pressure, and create spaces where people can share ideas and grow together.Looking forward, I am interested in opportunities in finance, audit, or risk management where I can apply both analysis and leadership. I value environments where there is complexity to untangle and people to collaborate with, whether that involves solving financial challenges, improving processes, or leading initiatives that bring lasting impact.
