ABOUT NAHLA VANESSA SALAZAR-BARGUIL
As someone who has always been passionate about making a difference in the world, I have often felt helpless in the face of global problems like poverty, disease, and conflict. Poverty is a widespread problem in Colombia affecting the lives of 45% of the population. This means that many children go without necessities like clean water, food, electricity, clothes, shoes, and school supplies. While I may not be able to save the world, I can provide food, shelter, and education to those who need it most. My vision for the Good Days Fund, a Florida based nonprofit, is for every child to have a good day. We are committed to continue expanding our reach to more villages so that we can help even more children in impoverished communities lead happy and productive lives.I recently came across a quote that changed the way I think about making an impact. “We cannot all do great things,” it read. “But we can do small things with great love.” This quote inspires me and shows that we can all make a difference by taking small steps in our own communities. I have devoted my life to improving the lives of children, and I have seen firsthand the difference that even a little bit of help can make. I believe that we can all make a difference in the world, one village at a time.
