ABOUT NAHIYAN SAIYARA KHAN

Pharmacoepidemiology | Data Science | Scientific & Medical Communication I am a PhD Candidate in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Université de Montréal, specializing in pharmacoepidemiology and perinatal epidemiology. My doctoral research focuses on evaluating the impact of risk management interventions on the use of teratogenic drugs during pregnancy in Canada, using advanced statistical methods such as interrupted time series analysis. With a background in public health, biochemistry, and environmental health sciences, I bring over four years of research experience spanning epidemiology, toxicology, and data analysis. I am skilled in statistical programming (R, Stata, Python), data visualization, and scientific writing, and have experience translating complex scientific findings into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences. I am passionate about bridging the gap between science and practice whether by supporting healthcare decision-making, contributing to regulatory and policy development, or communicating evidence-based information to clinicians and the public. My career interests include Medical Science Liaison, medical writing, data analysis, and data science roles within the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
