ABOUT NAHEED ALI

As an immigrant, a woman, and a person of color, working for an Indigenous company in Canada has allowed for me to find my niche in community engagement, education, and collaborative work. With the current reconciliation journey that Canada is on, my research in culture, community, and placemaking has come full circle, allowing me to learn while making my way down this reconciliation path. Client Services and Relationship Building are integral parts of my daily tasks, with varied clientele such as Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, Economic Social Development Canada, and several other federal government departments forming the varied breadth of experience. Alongside the client services, I also support the partnering relationships with our several joint venture partners, leveraging the combined experience to forage strategic paths in business development. Additionally, a highlight of my professional career has been in the academic sector. I was fortunate enough to teach courses at my alma mater, focusing on program development and teaching a variety of design, architecture, and communication courses – centered around the idea of collective and explorative learning being the goal. From concept to development and onwards to execution, I apply analytical insights to any project, working collaboratively with my team to provide an end-to-end creative solution. I thrive in a team-based setting, working best as part of a unit towards meeting organizational goals, whilst ensuring that my senior executives have the best support that I can provide. I currently support the bid and proposal writing at Acosys Consulting, with the hope of soaking up as much knowledge as possible. A life-long learner, I am interested in possibilities where diversity is encouraged as a tool to help foster new ideas.
