ABOUT NAHANNI JACQUEMOT

After completing two years on the Reims campus of Sciences Po within the Europe–North America program, followed by an exchange year at the Universiteit van Amsterdam, I am now pursuing a Master’s degree in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action on the Paris campus of Sciences Po. I am enrolled in the program’s selective research track, which enables me to dedicate a full year to my master’s thesis and positions me to apply for a PhD in Comparative Politics.Between the two years of my master’s (2025–2026), I undertook a gap year at INALCO (Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales), focusing on intensive Arabic studies (both Modern Standard Arabic and the Syro-Lebanese dialect) reaching a B1 level by the end of the academic year. I am currently completing an internship as Research Assistant at IRD (Institut de Recherche sur le Développement), working on a research project entitled \"Bans of gender-based violence, social norms and well-being in Africa\", before coming back to Sciences Po for my master\'s thesis. My main areas of interest are women’s rights, conflict resolution, Gender-Based violence and the Middle East, with the ambition of bridging academic research and humanitarian practice.
