I work as a Clerical Officer within the NHS LTH, providing front-line administrative and reception support in a busy diagnostic imaging department. My role involves managing patient workflows across multiple modalities, including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, and X-ray, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and patient-focused service.I am responsible for welcoming patients, verifying patient details, registering appointments accurately on clinical systems, and ensuring all patients are provided with the correct documentation and information prior to their procedures. I liaise closely with radiographers, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate appointments and support clinical operations.In addition, I manage a high volume of incoming and outgoing telephone calls, handling patient enquiries, booking and rescheduling appointments, and escalating issues appropriately while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times. My role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare environment.I take pride in delivering excellent patient care, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting the wider healthcare team to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate service delivery.
