About Nagi Kumar

Nagi B. Kumar, Ph.D, R.D, FADA: is a Senior Member in the Population Sciences Division at the Moffitt Cancer Center and a Professor in the Oncologic Sciences Department at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. Dr. Kumar is a Registered Dietitian and a Fellow of the American Dietetic Association and obtained her clinical training at the Elmhurst General, Mt. Sinai School of Medicine and Doctoral training at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. Funded by the National Cancer Institute and Department of Defense, her exciting cancer research focusses on discovering nutritional products in cancer prevention, treatment and for cancer survivorship. Dr. Kumar is internationally known as an expert in this field. She has published over 80 reports in scientific publications and has been a speaker in over 100 national and international scientific meetings. Dr. Kumar serves on several national committees including at the National Cancer Institute, Department of Defense, State of New York as well and in the National Health and Science Policy Committee. She is an author of several books and chapter including the most recent published by Springer, “ Nutritional Management of Cancer Treatment Symptoms
