   Part of the Architecture Team for CEMoD; involved in architecting, software designing and implementation, code refactoring, code reviewing and mentoring activities- Replaced a SAP Business Intelligence component with a pure Java implementation. Result: Reduction in licensing costs, significantly lesser execution time, enhanced flexibility- Spearheading the \"Clean Code Campaign\"- training, mentoring and reviewing code. Slowly and gradually ensuring that the entire team deals with legacy code issues effectively and reduces the technical debt- Conducted training programs on Clean Code, Python, RESTFul Design, etc. that has helped improve the team’s competency level and made them more productive. Conducted multiple other mini-trainings under the bannership of “Technical Titbits on Tuesdays” - an initiative taken by me- Involved in refactoring and redesign/re-implementation of the Spring JEE based Web Service component in order to make it clean, modular and extensible- Developed an ANTLR-Java based SQL Parser to convert SQL queries to convenient tree representations that permit easy extraction and editing of SQL query parts- Invented a (possibly patentable) custom language for query manipulation that simplified query processing by a very large extent. The team that develops such transformations used to take 2 sprints to develop a single transformation, but now typically take 1-3 days- Helped implement an automated test framework for verifying the working of the Web Service by firing thousands of queries and comparing them with expected results. This has improved the reliability of the component by providing early warnings on problems due to code changes- Have delivered with speed and efficiency when required. For example, Java’s Xerces DOM parser was completely rewritten from scratch and delivered over just a weekend when found to be unreliable under load conditions
