About Nagarjunan Saravanan

I’m a Master’s student in Computer Science at SUNY Binghamton (graduating May 2026) specializing in Computer Vision, Perception, and Machine Learning systems. My focus is on building real-world perception pipelines that bridge research and deployment spanning visual understanding, multimodal fusion, and production-grade ML.Currently, I’m an AI/ML Intern at Uplifty AI, where I design end-to-end image moderation and safety pipelines, integrating perceptual hashing, NSFW classification, OCR signals, and rule-based decision systems. My work emphasizes low-latency inference, scalable deployment, and measurable evaluation, supporting real-world content safety workflows.I’m also a Research Assistant at the Marine Robotics Lab, working on sonar–vision fusion using BlueBoat USV datasets to advance underwater perception and mapping. My research interests include open-vocabulary detection, multimodal perception, and robust sensing in unstructured environments. Before my master’s, I spent ~6 years as a software engineer at State Street and TCS, building large-scale enterprise systems. This background gives me a strong engineering foundation that I now apply to ML and perception focusing on system reliability, data pipelines, deployment discipline, and reproducibility, not just model performance.I’m actively seeking entry-level / new-grad, Associate Level roles in Computer Vision, Perception, Machine Learning, and Applied AI, where I can contribute to real-world intelligent systems in robotics, autonomy, and visual AI. Interests: Computer Vision • Perception Systems • Open-Vocabulary Detection • Multimodal Fusion • Applied ML • Robotics & Autonomous Systems
