Performed preliminary design and budgetary estimate for projects ranging from 69kV to 345kV to include planning and design for new lines, relocations, upgrades and fiber optic attachment. • Designed transmission lines utilizing the Power Line Systems software suite including PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and TOWER. • Evaluated construction design information such as structure detail, assembly drawings, design calculations, system calculations and sketches/specifications. • Developed structure framing structure details, to include specifying all parts, hardware, insulators and grounding details for different pole materials, such as steel and wood poles. • Conducted structure analysis and loading trees & developed design criteria and specifications for the T&D line design and procurement of materials, project cost estimating, and quality control reviews. • Developed complete design packages that incorporates all necessary details for construction, such as work lists, construction staking table, stringing sag charts, etc. • Developed foundation design for structures including vibratory caissons, drilled pier to direct embeds using FAD. • Performed QA/QC checks to review project drawings, calculations and specifications in number of projects to ensure proper compliance with respect to Industry codes and customer requirements.
