   Applied Solar Technologies (India) Pvt. Ltd. was founded in 2009, with the objective of providing a completely new model of renewable energy based solutions for remote and uptime-critical applications with access to little or no supply of grid electricity. AST has since, through its 100% subsidiary AST telecom Solar Pvt. Ltd, deployed its unique and reliable solution, using solar photovoltaic based hybrid energy systems, delivering up to 99.95% guaranteed uptime for telecom towers in the most difficult terrains (such as Bihar, Jharkhand, UP) in India. AST is now a market leader in this space and its proprietary “Energy as a Service” pricing model has become an industry standard.AST solution is offered to customers on built-own-operate model and the complete CAPEX is funded by AST. Nevertheless, AST delivers an assured uptime SLA in lieu of a monthly fee which is substantially less than the current operating cost of the tower operator.Applied Solar Technologies has also deployed similar unique solar photovoltaic based hybrid solutions for Bank ATM’s in almost all low grid geographies in India, commanding a market leadership position in this space as well.
