As Sr. Director of Operations for Saft’s IMI division, I lead end-to-end operational strategy and execution across multiple advanced battery manufacturing processes. Responsible for the division’s P&L ownership, operational performance, and alignment with Saft’s global roadmap for safety, quality, and sustainability.Key Leadership & Operational Responsibilities • Oversee all IMI division operations, including Mixing, Coating, Cell Assembly, Formation, and Module Assembly for advanced chemistries such as LTO, LMFP, NMC, and next-generation battery technologies. • Lead and develop cross-functional teams across Safety, Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to drive operational excellence. • Ensure strong financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control to meet division profitability goals. • Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance throughput, reduce waste, and increase equipment uptime across manufacturing lines. • Drive strategy for capacity expansion, production scaling, equipment qualification, and new product industrialization. • Partner closely with R&D and global engineering to introduce new processes, improve battery performance, and meet customer technical requirements. • Ensure world-class safety culture by maintaining rigorous EHS standards, compliance, and risk-reduction programs. • Strengthen quality systems and ensure all products meet or exceed customer and regulatory specifications. • Build high-performing teams through coaching, workforce planning, and leadership development initiatives. • Lead daily and monthly performance reviews using KPIs such as OEE, yield, scrap, cost per unit, and production attainment. • Represent operations in executive leadership meetings, supporting strategic decision-making and long-term planning.
