ABOUT NADYA POHRAN
I’m an anthropologist with 10+ years of experience across healthcare, digital health/healthtech, internal Amazon software (instructional product UI and HR platforms), and community building. I absolutely love finding, defining, and tackling complex human problems and (co-)creating meaningful and sustainable solutions. I work alongside designers, engineers, policy makers, community members, and product owners to ensure we can deliver actionable and impactful change from our research findings. I believe it\'s the responsibility of researchers and strategists to think proactively about the long lasting impacts of the systems, products, and patterns we design. I work strategically and carefully to ensure that underrepresented and marginalized people are intentionally cared for by (and whose voices are actively brought into) our decisions. My values guide my work. Outside my extensive academic research training, I\'m formally trained in inclusive design, accessibility research, a11y UI, GBA+, GDPR, trauma-informed research, psychological first aid, & knowledge mobilization. And I will continue to keep learning. I have conducted research internationally (Canada, US, UK, India, France, Japan) and am comfortable entering new cultural contexts. Interested in connecting more? Please don\'t hesitate to message me! p.s. I offer \"office hours\" style mentorship to women and non-binary individuals who either want to conduct user research in tech spaces or who are budding entrepreneurs. You can simply message me to ask.
