ABOUT NADINE S.

An international primary educator with over 20 years of experience teaching in diverse global contexts. I care deeply about creating classrooms where students feel both nurtured and intellectually challenged — places where curiosity, thoughtful questioning, and genuine engagement drive learning.My work centers on concept-based teaching and strong instructional design. I enjoy crafting units that help students think like scientists, writers, and problem-solvers, using inquiry, discussion, design thinking, and real-world challenges to build deep understanding. My background includes IB PYP training, Understanding by Design, and Project-Based Learning training, all of which inform how I design curriculum and assess student learning.Colleagues know me as someone who contributes beyond my own classroom — whether through curriculum planning, mentoring teachers, wellness initiatives, strengthening home–school partnerships, or building community and culture. I value collaborative professional cultures where teachers learn from one another and continually refine their practice.I’m especially passionate about student wellbeing, environmental stewardship, community centered service learning, and helping young people develop the curiosity, resilience, and global awareness they need to thrive in an interconnected world.
