Toronto, ON, CA

I am a client-led, trauma-informed practitioner of narrative therapy, mindfulness, and guided meditation. I also draw from sensorimotor and cognitive behavioural therapy in my work. My politics are rooted in anti-oppressive practice, and I connect our personal struggles to larger systemic realities. I support individuals, couples and families struggling with their mental and physical health, past trauma, substance use, identity (ie: gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, culture), self image/worth, material existence (ie: class, poverty, education, work), disability, relationships (familial, romantic, professional), and many other life experiences.Much of my learning and growth as a therapist comes from the sharing, witnessing, honoring, consulting and collaborating that I do with my clients. I am deeply appreciative of and inspired by those whom I work with, and always compelled to strive for self betterment as a therapist. I approach with an openness and desire to learn about your unique story, desired therapy outcomes, and specific needs.

ABOUT NADIA SAAD

It\'s an honor to host you! I consider myself privileged to do this work, as it allows me to connect closely with people who constantly humble, teach and amaze me. Every day, I am awed by the resilient bodies, minds and spirits whom I work with. As someone who also struggles and triumphs with a number of the “life things” that lead people to seek counselling, I find my work personally rewarding on many levels. I am passionate about my role as an empathic listener, an inquisitve collaborator, a sturdy witness and a reliable support person. I\'m also a lover of the critical and expressive arts, and enjoy bringing those facets of journeying and storytelling into the therapy - if, when and how you may wish to engage with art your session. I look forward to talking to you about how we can make our work together serve your needs, desires and goals.
