ABOUT NADIA PAPASIDERO

We are at a point in history where the clash between technology advancements and the worsening of conditions for life on earth is pushing us into a really uncomfortable corner: we either find a way to co-exist with nature sustainably or we\'ll have to continue taking what comes as the planet becomes equally unfriendly to us. I am a fond believer that we have all the instruments to reverse climate change and create a more just world, and I am keenly seeking these answers in technological innovation, sustainable business models and future-oriented policies. A climate change and innovation expert and strategist with more than 6 years experience with the UN World Food Programme, I have built a track record of supporting causes that are close to my heart. I am a strategic thinker and an effective communicator, who is passionate about programming and policies that can help societies become more resilient and economies more sustainable. Recently, I helped The Good Food Institute strategically harness their presence at the COP27 Climate Talks in Sharm-El-Sheikh to make alternative protein the default option to limit the impact of climate change. As I have witnessed and studied the challenges and breakthroughs of renewable energy, I am looking forward to seeing technology open the door to global sustainable food systems. I currently work as freelance/contractor, with clients that are looking to position themselves strategically in the social impact ecosystem, or that need project and strategic partnership management for climate change action. As my largest project, I am currently managing the Food Systems Partnership and COP28 Pavilion with EIT Food, and a wide range of co-hosts and coalitions working together to bring Food Systems up the agenda! I hold an MSc in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics. My research interests lie in resilience, climate change adaptation and policy, social innovation, renewable energy and sustainable development. I love running, kitesurfing, yoga, and I would love to keep skiing in the Alps for a very long time. I am fluent in English, Italian, German, French and Spanish (c\'est vrai!).
